It’s officially fall, and the new beginnings that come with back-to-school have turned into a packed calendar full of next steps and partnership! The reDesign team is off and running with conferences, competency frameworks, and connections to the field - and we hope to find ways to connect with each of you and your work along the way.
A few highlights: This autumn marks year five of our collaboration with the Office of Personalized Learning in the State of South Carolina to support capacity-building around the competencies that we designed to align with their Graduate Profile. We’ve gone
from first steps to measuring impact in the classroom! And in Massachusetts, we’re in the second year of a co-learning initiative between the state and educators who are piloting reimagined grading systems.
We’re especially excited for the Aurora Institute Symposium in October, where we’ll debut a future-ready set of competencies with a whole-child lens towards supporting K-12 academic and social-emotional development. We can’t wait to provide this adaptable resource to educators everywhere!
In the meantime, check out our founder Antonia Rudenstine’s insights in Getting Smart about the innovative partnership between stakeholders to build competency-based learning in the state of Wyoming, and what it signals about the broader policy landscape.
